So does guest cohost Brian Toney. Tonight they sit down without notes to discuss their true thoughts, feelings and theories about Witch City: Salem, MA. If you know anything about Salem, it's probably because of the witchcraft trials that took place there in 1692. Ultimately, at least 20 people were executed as a direct result of the witch trials and in the over 300 years that have followed, the city has grabbled with how to deal with this national tragedy. How can you both acknowledge the terror of the tragedy and yet still market it to millions of tourist? Salem is widely considered the Halloween capital of the world and with good reason: every day in Salem is Halloween. But in October, the city ramps up to a whole new level.Tonight Eric and Brian will talk about what makes Salem so special...and some ways in which (witch?) it could be better!
