It's another family affair as host Eric Dwinnells takes a break from Christmas festivities to talk with his nephew/guest co-host, Tyler Clapp about Sideshow Freaks! Now, of course, freaks is not a very p.c. term and discussing people born with abnormalities on Spooky A S my seem a bit uncouth, but rest assured the creators have nothing but love for most so called "freaks"...Eric has performed in more than one sideshow!

But tonight, we're not just talking about their abnormalities. There are 2 murderers on tonight's rundown! Who are the killer freaks and what drove them to do it? Also discussed is why the freak show went away...and how in some ways, it lives on today!

Specific acts discussed include:
Jo-Jo the Dog Faced Boy
Alice Doherty, The Wooly Girl
Conjoined twins Chang and Eng and Lazzerous and Joannes Baptista Colloredo
Grady Stiles, The Lobster Boy
The Human Pincushion Mirin Dajo
and Ella Harper the Camel Girl

Tonight on Spooky A S host Eric Dwinnells tells you the tale of the mysterious Phantom Whistler of Louisiana! Late at night, a mysterious disembodied whistle would keep young Jacquelyn Cadow up at night. Wolf whistles at first...like they used to do in Tex Avery cartoons. But after Miss Cadow announced her engagement months later, the whistling became much more ominous. It switched from the annoying yet familiar wolf whistle to the creepy sound of a funeral dirge fallowed by a "shrill moan". Not long after, Jacquelyn's mother received a phone call from the phantom stating he would kill Jacquelyn if she went through with her wedding!

Was there ever really a phantom whistler? Or was it a cruel prank? Or maybe the whole thing was made up; maybe it was just a hoax. Eric will once again try to separate fact from fiction and let you be the judge on tonight's Spooky Ass Shit!

Also discussed:
The 2016 Boston Ballet production of The Nutcracker, Eric's former life as a song and dance man, and Cheers.

You know the Andy Williams song "It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" where he promises "they'll be scary ghost stories..."?  Ever wonder why he's talking about ghost in the middle of a cheery Christmas song? Host Eric Dwinnells sure did and lucky for you, he found the answer! Turns out the telling of ghost stories was a very popular tradition in England and parts of America until the early 20th century! But why? And how did this tradition fade away?
Eric explains all this and touches upon that most famous of Christmas Ghost Stories, Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol as well as lesser known woks by writers like M.R. James and Jerome K. Jerome. He'll even read you the shortest known ghost story in english and tell you about an odd tradition his mother insisted upon on Christmas morning. All this and more on tonight's Spooky Ass Shit!

Eric Dwinnells is home alone again and this time he's spouting off at the mouth about Men In Black aka MIB! You know the movies and the Will Smith song. Maybe you've ridden the ride at Universal Studios, but did you know real-life encounters with the MIB have been reported as far back as the 1940's? Who are these mysterious men who show up and harness UFO researchers/witnesses? Do they work for a secret branch of the government? Are they hostile alien beings? Civilian hoaxers with a twisted sense of humor? Or are they just completely made up? And how do Dan Aykroyd, Brittany Spears, and Saturday Night Live all tie into the legend of the men in black? Find out tonight on Spooky A S!

Also included:
The Maury Island Incident and Harold Dahl
Albert Bender
Robert Richardson
Shane Shovar and the MIB caught on film
