It's Christmas time and long-time listeners know that up until the mid 20th century, Christmas Eve was a traditional night for telling ghost stories! Tonight, host Eric Dwinnells will tell you a classic ghost story called Smee. Written by A.M.Burrage in 1931, it's the tale of a group of friends playing a variation of Hide & Seek in a large English manor where, 10 years before, a young woman had died. The trouble is...there seems to be an extra player in their game!
This makes the second year of Eric reading a ghost story at Christmas, and we certainly do hope you all have a dreadfully merry Christmas. And, if you don't celebrate, have a happy Monday!

We all love seeing our favorite horror villains in their respective films on the big screen, but tonight host Eric Dwinnells tells us about a few times when some of our favorite horror icons appeared on random television shows. We've got Freddy Krueger on MTV, Chucky on WCW wrestling, The Joker on The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Jason Voorhies giving Arsenio Hall the cold shoulder! This is some real must see TV right here!
Also on this episode: MTV was way better in the 80's, Robert Englund out of character, how WCW should have booked Chucky, is Batman's The Joker a horror villain?, why was Arsenio afraid to have Jason on the show and what did he do to make Kane Hodder laugh?

In 1975 a man named Travis Walton claimed to have been abducted by aliens and his story was the inspiration for the 1993 movie Fire in the Sky...but did it really happen? Tonight host Eric Dwinnells tells the story, often in Walton's own words, while guest co-host Brian Toney wrestles with the truthiness of it all.
We'll hear Walton's description of the various alien creatures he met including the orange-jumpsuited Greysand the good looking blue suited Swedes or Nordic Aliens. We'll hear about the "thing" he used to fight them off and what they did to him after. We'll also discuss wether this whole story was a hoax, a strange type of group hallucination, or the absolute truth!
You can visit Mr. Walton's site and buy his book here

Eric Dwinnells is back to do one of his favorite things: Expose the simple tricks used by psychics (or mediums, clairvoyants, channelers or whatever the hell else they might all themselves. Specifically, we're going to look at some Psychic Fails! What happens psychics get it dead wrong? And we'll learn how a psychic reading is like an improv game...where only one player knows its a game!

It sure is fun to look at their mistakes. Like the psychic who couldn't tell someone had died in 9/11, or the psychic who claimed a picture she was shown was a murdered child when it was actually a old picture of the person standing right in front of her. But that's not all we're going to do. We are going to look at their techniques including cold reading, hot reading, and fishing. Of course, it's possible Eric is wrong. Maybe these psychics really are getting their (often incorrect or incomplete) information from disembodied spirits...but one seems more like than the other.
Although these techniques could be used by any psychic act, tonight we're going to focus on Sylvia Browne, James Van Praagh, The Hollywood Medium Tyler Henry and The Long Island Medium, Theresa Caputo.  And we're not just talking about there supposed abilities; Eric will also review them based on their performance and presentation. Show folk adjudicating show folk!
